What are your educational and/or career goals? How do you see your participation in the Bonner program relating to them? – I am a first generation and will be the first to graduate from college in my family. I want to help my family in any way I can after I graduate because they risked their lives coming to the U.S. for a better future for me and my siblings. I want to help the community reach its highest potential.
What is your service site and service track(s)? – Commonwealth Catholic Charities: Refugee Resettlement Services; International Interest
Why did you want to become a Bonner Service Scholar? – I grew up giving back to the community that helped me and my family. I wanted to continue that tradition in nearby communities throughout my college career.
What is your favorite experience that the Bonner Program has given you? – Going on the First-year Pilgrimage with my future best friends.
What advice would you give to a new Bonner to help them get the most out of the program? – Come in with an open mind, and go for it.
What have you learned about yourself from being a Bonner? – I learned that I can be a leader.
What do you think your role is in creating social change? What do you see yourself doing in the future to further your role? – I am here on this Earth to help make this place better in any way I can and will continue to do so in the future.
What are your hobbies and/or interests (outside of academics and Bonner)? – I love going to Pilates, and or the gym! I have a passion for playing dope music along with my friends taking in reality.
