What are your major(s) and minor(s)? –Majors: Communications and Leadership; Minors: Civic Engagement & Social Justice and Spanish
What are your educational and/or career goals? How do you see your participation in the Bonner program relating to them? –My goals are to get as much experience with photography and videography so that I can capture meaningful moments and dialogues for others to witness. I see myself using what I learn to highlight some of the things we do in Bonner so people on and off campus see what’s up.
What is your service site and service track(s)? – Mary M. Torggler Fine Arts Center; Arts & Culture
Other than Bonner and your service site, what organizations are you involved with (on and/or off campus)? – Wason Scholars
Why did you want to become a Bonner Service Scholar? –So that I could be of service to others around me and be around others who wanted to do the same.
What is your favorite experience that the Bonner Program has given you? – The B12 Pilgrimage.
What advice would you give to a new Bonner to help them get the most out of the program? –Be open! Say no when you need to, but never because you’re scared to try something new.
What have you learned about yourself from being a Bonner? – I’ve learned the importance of giving people grace, understanding, and patience.
What do you think your role is in creating social change? What do you see yourself doing in the future to further your role? – I think my role is starting and highlighting in-depth conversations through different forms of media. I see myself collaborating with others to document such conversations to share with the public to start even more conversations.
What are your hobbies and/or interests (outside of academics and Bonner)? – Reading, making music, crocheting, and roller skating
