Community-Engaged Course Name: MATH 395: BIG (Business, Industry, and Government) Experiences in Mathematics

Course Description: This hands-on course will prepare students for careers in industry by engaging them in multidisciplinary research problems stemming directly from community partners. Students will integrate their interests and abilities in mathematics as they examine and provide analytical insight into challenging and open-ended problems proposed by local organizations and businesses. Students will develop enhanced problem-solving, communication, and team and individual research skills as they gain new perspectives on the role that real-life mathematics plays in their community.
